I ain't holding my breath for the great ol' state of Virginny here, despite the fact that the equivalent law is so broadly worded so as to make most contracts directly between any two unmarried people void.

Y'know, to keep those pesky married gay couples from elsewhere from thinking they can move here and still be treated like human beings. *eyeroll*

To be honest, I'm not holding my breath, either. I think we have too many states that are too entrenched in bigotry and backward thinking in this nation.

We have to hope. Things can and will get better. SLOWLY, but it is possible.

Hell, we're still working on Brown v. Education (probably another "activist" decision) and Loving v. Virginia (oh, so totally activist).

Also, I love how activist is the label for a court that doesn't make the decision you want it to.

I would love to walk the two blocks from my work to the Capital Building and KISS every single member of the CA State Supreme Court...except that I have a feeling I'd get arrested. So I won't. Instead I'll just sit here at my desk and softly applaud ;) It's a good day.
