Do you have three new eggs? *wail* They cut the egg drops during the nights in the US which is day for me so there's 200 people trying to grab 30 eggs when I am online while during the day in the US and when I am asleep, there are 500 people trying to nab 150 eggs *wail* I want a new egg, dammit!

No - I have one of the new eggs. My other eggs are a black, a split, and a guardian.

Egg drops are determined by the number of people online on the hour. The more people online, the larger the egg drop. Trust me... there aren't 150 eggs during the egg drops during the day in the US. It's at max 80. The egg drop during the day lasts less than a minute during the hour mark.

Aaah, I just saw three fogged eggs and assumed they were all new eggs. Silly me. Are you getting so many views here that your eggs gets sick? Or is someone messing with you?

Egg drops lasts less than 30 seconds, too, during my day time. I am used to longer drops which is why I got a bit :( I had people tell me that during the day time in the US it was 150 eggs. Of course, since I am asleep, I can't verify that. I just know when I actually make it to the drops around 6pm/7pm EST, the egg drops last at least 4 times as long as when I go to the ones at say 4am EST.

I couldn't get an egg at 7 p.m. EST if I tried. :( I've given up trying to get eggs until at least 10:30 p.m., once the kids start going to bed.

I cross-post my eggs to LJ, the Incubators forum, and a small (but growing) forum called Dragon Breeders. Normally I don't get too many views - but I had nearly 200 on those new eggs in less than an hour and they were getting softshell. ("the shell is soft as if there were something wrong with it). Any more than 400 the first full 24 hours, and they can die of early over-exposure, so I decided to play it safe and fog them.

I'll unfog them late this afternoon - they should be fine by then. I think a ton of people were just online waiting to get the new egg yesterday, and they were spending the extra time clicking eggs.

(I won't complain- my gold and silver need craploads of clicks to mature anyway).

I just had to fog my new seasons egg as well. I got three eggs in one drop, posted them to LJ and within 15 minutes, one of the eggs had 10 times the views and unique views than the others. It wasn't at soft shell yet, but I fogged it anyways. No one clicked it, so I assumed someone just took the code to show it off or deliberately kill it, grrr. It's doing okay now after I unfogged it again. But man....

I usually just post mine on LJ and on my personal website. That gives me enoughs views and clicks to hatch them at 3.5 days and grown them up at 3.5 days as well.... never too less, never too much :)

Yup.

It's really about making sure they survive that first 24 hours okay. After that, they seem to do just fine. I do have to fight a bit to get them to hatch sometimes, but I also am known to go a couple days without posting them, and I haven't lost an egg yet, so... *shrug*

I didn't post my guardian egg until it was at the 4.9 days mark.... now it's at 3.7 something and ready to hatch with a big hole. In the beginning, I thought I need to post the eggs on a daily basis so they get clicks and views and all. But I don't really.

I think I may have to end up taking the seasons eggs out of my LJ post for the rest of the days now. They all accumulated about a hundred views in a couple hours already, yikes.
