ooh, that was a gorgeous little "bit in between." I like how you treated the Doctor's reflections on his life before Rose - sad but not angsty - and his eventual willingness to talk about it to her. and tea. the tea was brilliant.
(i must admit that my first thought upon reading, "locus tea" was to think "locust tea," too. also that the mind-reading teakettle reminded me of Mary Poppins' magical medicine bottle. hee hee.)
