really enjoyed reading this - I dont really understand any rules of fan fic so forgive me, but I thought I would mention that in the UK we dont refer to converse boots as chucks as far as I am aware - but I am prepared to stand to be corrected! Not sure that it impacts in anyway at all but thought I would mention it anyhow!
